Pascal Lacroix
Our featured artist of the month is Pascal Lacroix, the creator and maker for over 50 years of one of a kind custom made bracelets showcased in some of the finest galleries, jewelry stores and museums.
Pascal was raised in the South of France by artist parents in the splendor of the “Gorge du Verdon” Provence region. Working alongside his renowned designer father Pascal discovered and embraced a lifelong passion for jewelry.
From the start, Pascal was on a quest to master the making of invisible hinged bracelets. Inspired by the precision of Japanese joinery, the purity of Scandinavian design and a desire to break boundaries, he had his first solo exhibit at the coveted Marie Ziswiller Gallery in Paris followed by receiving several DeBeers awards. Gold, diamonds and other precious gems became the material of choice.
His creative journey has taken him from the South of France to Paris, to San Francisco and now the foothills of the California Sierra Mountains. Working solo and drawing his inspiration from nature, architecture, dreams, music and poetry, Pascal has perfected finish and joining; the hinge and clasp are customized to each bracelet design and made to be invisible. He stated “They should last many lifetimes, be easy to operate, pleasing to the eye, sound a firm and comforting click when closing and disappear when closed.” Constantly refining the quality of the curves, the mechanics, and settings keeps him connected and stimulates his creativity.
If you have ever had difficulty finding a bracelet to fit your wrist then you really need to have a Pascal Lacroix bracelet, custom made to fit just you.
