About Kit Carson

After discovering art at an early age of about 9, by 18, he knew his path, and by 25, he was in the business. He has steadily continued my jewelry profession, adding sculpture and painting along the way. His specialty is engraved jewelry with a rainbow of gemstones, including high grade turquoise.

The beauty and humor of animals is a constant theme in his work. His design style has an Art Nouveau filter that smooths out his line.

His sculpture is made from a vast library of visual solutions of objects with a rich, sun-sanded patina, or what others might just call, rusty junk, left behind in the Wild West. He truly has a “lust for rust”.

The Jewelry

The rich sun-sanded patinas direct his use of color. Wall art, furniture, lamps, and animals are ever-being welded in his studio.

His current line of jewelry is called Romantic Rust. This on-going series includes cuffs from license plates, chains, and Bola Ties with hood ornaments.
