Peter Schmid, the man behind Atelier Zobel, finds the major source of his inspiration from natural structures and growth patterns.

Peter Schmid is often referred to as a ‘stone whisperer’. A central part of his craft is knowing gemstones intimately, as differing personalities. His process often begins by selecting distinct stones, both in character and in the cut. Peter observes and feels each stone carefully, understanding how he can help it become truly alive. Time is taken to carefully set the stones in ways that intensify their sparkle and luminous colors or to showcase their individual structure.

Each stone and piece that comes from Atelier Zobel has its own unique story. Many of Atelier Zobel’s clients are passionate collectors who enjoy owning and treasuring his jewelry creations just as much as they enjoy wearing them.
